Create an infographic poster using data that links two or more places beyond what is apparent at first glance.
I decided to depict the mass extinction at the end of the Mesozoic Era for my infographic. Not only is the data for this event interesting to me on a personal basis, but it also tells a remarkable story. Weaving the narrative of the mass extinction with the numbers and data was a rewarding challenge. I loved learning more about this topic, while simultaneously making it easier for others to learn as well.

The research and findings gathered from this project were then used to create an animated infographic. I created new vector-based illustrations with vibrant colors. The look and feel was aimed at getting young adults and especially children excited about science and paleontology. Presenting the information with visuals and a clear narrative gave the animation enough context to tell the full story in a new and engaging way.
My animated infographic was selected as a finalist in the 2021 CSU Media Arts Festival.
